Krishnan is a strong ambassador for our LEAD apprenticeship programme, taking advantage of the opportunities available to fast-track his career since he joined the company in 2016.
He was highly commended as a regional finalist in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019, and works within our asphalt business. In his previous role as unit manager, he was responsible for overseeing the £7 million upgrade of the Allington plant in Kent and he is now operations support manager, covering 34 asphalt plants across the country.
Krishnan is also an active member of the FIR committee, helping lead the business to support people from all backgrounds to achieve a successful, long-term career.
“My managers at Hanson have never second guessed my abilities when, at times, I have,” said Krishnan. “I never thought I would complete a degree in minerals management and be responsible for a multi-million pound project at such a young age, but I have been given full guidance and support to grow my skill set and develop my career.”
